Assignment #3 Research Project [in 4 parts]: Throughout the semester you will work toward developing a central research project based on your individual interest and practice. The project has a number of deadlines based on various stages of research but it is expected that you will work on the project continuously across the semester.

3[B] [Material Research] (15%)
Due: Thursday, March 4 via google drive / blackboard &/or on your HOTGLUE page

For this second deadline, prepare an in-depth research exploration of the materials you plan to utilize for your project:

You can present your presentation in whatever way makes the most sense for you and your project (it could be a formal or informal essay; a powerpoint slideshow; a visual essay; a blog post; a video; an audio piece; a collage; etc…) Feel free to be creative! Try working toward a form that works in tandem with the concept (or even material) itself;

You need to include detail on at least 3 layers of material research based on your project (this will be discussed further in class);

If you are unable to see all of the threads through for material research related to your project, include a sentence or two detailing what you would continue to research further if you had the resources, or a question you would like to tackle in the future;

You should consider material in both a physical and conceptual sense (this will be discussed further in class).
